Seen on A.I. from plebe to firstie year. Boots overcame academics with the strategy of exhaustion. Not a stranger to the Tactical Dept, he almost nickled and dimed himself to century status. No matter, he graduated, was commissioned 2d Lt., West Point Class of '78.

Obituary - Joshua (Boots) Burress
Boots passed away in November from brain seizure complications and is now in peace. He is survived by his son Robert Baca. Boots was born in Raton, NM and always loved the Land of Enchantment. Boots was a proud graduate of the United States Military Academy West Point and served in the US Army. He spent his last years living comfortably in Albuquerque. Boots loved swimming laps at KAFB, volunteering time at First Presbyterian Church and spending time with his Golden Retriever Seahawk. A memorial service is currently pending until after the pandemic conditions are deemed safe. A future announcement will be published at that time.
